FINISHED

I finished this dishcloth today while sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office.   I made an identical one a couple of days ago, but the sister-in-law fell in love with it and off it went with her, along with three or four more dishcloths.  I told them it gives me pleasure to see someone happy with them - which is true!

VISITORS

We've had visitors the past few days, from Boise, Idaho.   Hubby's brother and sister-in-law have been here and we've had such a good time catching up and the weather has been great.  Yesterday we drove to Tombstone, Arizona which took about 2-1/2 hours.  I knitted another dishcloth and gave it to my sis-in-law before I took a picture, so I'm making a second one right now.
Tombstone, Arizona is where the shootout at the OK Corral took place between the Earp Brothers (Wyatt and others) and the Clantons.  It's a fun place to visit and here are a few pictures I "picked" off the web.  (Forgot my phone/camera!!)

Old time Tombstone back in the it's heyday in the 1880's!

Pictures of a couple of the graves in the Boot Hill
Cemetery.  There were a lot of them that just had a name and "shot", "murdered", or "lynched" on a date in the early 1880's.

DISHCLOTH STASH

Maybe you thought I was kidding about being on a dishcloth kick?  Here's a picture of my stack of finished dishcloths, and I've just given 3 away to a daughter.   I have promised myself to not knit another dishcloth for quite some time.....

FINISHED!

Finished this all seed-stitch dishcloth.   Because it's seed stitch it was very slow going, then add in the fact it is two-color.   I went down a needle size, and should have cast on less stitches.   It ended up being rather large, and I didn't even go until it was square because it would have been more like a towel than a dishcloth.  Lesson learned, and this is one I will keep for myself.   I do like the looks of the two color seed stitch and may make another one some time in the future (not for a while)!!

Now I'll get back to finishing up the Forza Scarf, although we'll be visiting some friends tomorrow, then will have family here for a few days over the weekend, so probably only a little knitting.

Temperatures are going to hit the low 80's in the next few days!!

DISHCLOTH KICK

I don't know why I all of a sudden am knitting dishcloths.  It's not like I have a whole drawer full of them (I actually do).  I think I'll stop after this two-color one and get back to my Forza scarf and other WIP's!!!

We're enjoying our 70 - 85 degree weather here in Arizona, but have lots of empathy for those of you living through the cold and snowstorms.

Great Friday the 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning we had a couple guys come clean our windows inside and out, as well as the screens.  It's amazing how much "clearer" everything is outside now....guess I should have had it done months ago!   We'll do it again after the monsoon season later this year.

Then this afternoon, was the regular day for the crew to come clean our tile floors.  We have them come every 4 weeks..they dustmop then wet mop the floors.  There are 4 or 5 of them and it only takes about 20 minutes, but it's sure worth it.  Our temperatures are in the 80's, so the floors dry quite quickly.  Our entire house has tile floors except for the bedrooms, and I'm getting too old to do a good job of mopping.

So now we not only can see outside better, but the floors are also wonderfully clean.

I'm still working on the Forza Scarf showed in my previous post, but started a pattern for another dishcloth.  A friend wanted to knit one like my yellow one (previous post also), but due to the difference between UK and US terms, it was quite confusing.  So I found this pattern Noni's Favorite, and it's quite similar to my yellow one, and.... it's nearly the same and much easier to follow.   I apologize for the poor picture quality.  Took it on my desk with poor lighting - will do better when I'm finished.

 Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

FORZA SCARF

Working to get this scarf finished in the next day or two.   After blocking the first half of the scarf (it is put together with kitchener st in the back of the neck), I found the scarf was going to  be way too short.   I'm working on the second half, while the first half is on a piece of scrap yarn, so I can add more rows to both sides before stitching together.   I love the color and the stitch pattern.

WEEKEND!

Finished my DROPS Waffle Dishcloth this morning, and really like the way it turned out.  I may make more of this in the future.  I didn't finish the top the same as the bottom, but decided it was "only a dishcloth".   Do you ever do stuff like that?
We're looking forward to our daughter, son-in-law and two teenage grandchildren coming this afternoon for a visit over the long weekend.  The kids (and maybe adults) will undoubtedly go swimming - the temps are in the 80's for most of this week!

GAME DAY IS HERE!

Getting ready for the big game and of course we are rooting for the Seahawks.  Having lived in Washington State for 30+ years prior to moving to Arizona 2+ years ago, we are diehard fans of the Seahawks.

Have my TV knitting at hand:

This is a DROPS DESIGN pattern:  Waffle Love Dishcloth.  Easy TV watching.

I'll also be working on the 2nd half of my Forza Scarf.   This is not so "easy" TV knitting, but I want to get it done!

Are you watching the Super Bowl today?

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
